- PVX Plus Technologies is pleased to
announce it will be assuming all ongoing
sales, development and support of the
ProvideX product line for Independent
Software Vendors (ISVs) effective
immediately. Sage, which owns the
ProvideX intellectual property, will
continue to develop and support the
language for use with its own products.
We are looking forward to the
opportunities that this acquisition
brings to the table, for both the
ProvideX and PxPlus customers.
By consolidating the development and
planning into a single organization, PVX
Plus is poised to fully focus on
protecting the investments made by
developers in their business
applications. This consolidation will
also allow us to maximize the potentials
of the latest technologies which will
greatly benefit our current and future
customers.
We would like to take this time thank all
of our loyal customers for trusting us
with your business for the past five
years. Now, join us in welcoming the
ProvideX customers. Together we will make
a stronger force in the programming
community. ________________________
Questions &
Answers:
Whats happening with ProvideX?
Sage is licensing the rights to develop
the ProvideX language for the non-Sage
applications to PVX Plus Technologies.
Sage will continue to own the ProvideX
intellectual property and is continuing
to develop ProvideX for use with its
products.
Why are these changes being made?
This change benefits both non-Sage
ProvideX customers and Sage MAS 90 and
200 customers alike. Non-Sage ProvideX
customers get the dedicated focus they
need, while Sage can continue to focus
exclusively on adapting the ProvideX
technology to address the specific needs
of their MAS 90 and 200 customers.
What happens if I was a Sage ProvideX
customer?
Sage ProvideX clients and contracts will
not be affected by this change. If you
worked through a dealer or distributor,
all of your contacts remain the same.
Otherwise, if you purchased directly form
Sage, the only major change is that all
future communications, orders, and
support queries should be directed to PVX
Plus Technologies, Ltd.
New contact information:
What does this mean
to me as a developer of a ProvideX base
application?
Any of your ProvideX development needs
will be now handled directly through PVX
Plus. Where as, any development work
related to a Sage MAS 90 or 200 products,
will continue to be supported and managed
through Sage.
Who will be leading the future
ProvideX development?
Michael King, president and founder of
PVX Plus Technologies, Ltd., and the
original developer of ProvideX and PxPlus
is ready for the challenge. In the past
26 years, Mike has actively worked in the
business basic community, growing the
client base and continually improving the
development language with numerous new
features and tools for the application
developer.
Will there be different versions of
ProvideX code now that it is being
supported by two different organizations?
Yes, we believe that over time, you will
see differences in the PVX Plus and Sage
versions as these two product lines
continue to evolve independently.

customers?

PxPlus development language and toolkit
used by over 1,000 companies worldwide.
